Little Egg Harbor Man Killed In Route 37 Crash: Police
The 33-year-old Little Egg Harbor man was riding an electric bicycle when he was struck by an SUV, Toms River police said.
TOMS RIVER, NJ — A Little Egg Harbor man was killed while riding an electric bicycle in a crash on Route 37 Wednesday morning, Toms River police said.
The 33-year-old man was riding west on Route 37 on the westbound shoulder about 8 a.m. when he made a sudden left turn and was hit in the center lane by an SUV, said Jillian Messina, media relations specialist for the Toms River Police Department.
His name was being withheld pending notification to his family.

The crash happened near the intersection of River Drive, and the driver of the SUV stayed at the scene, Messina said.
The bicyclist suffered severe injuries and was taken to Community Medical Center by Toms River EMS, where he was pronounced dead.

Also assisting at the scene were the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department Crime Scene Investigation Unit and Hatzalah Volunteer EMS.
