Local Students Receive Degrees From Berkeley College

College president tells students: 'Be proud of what you have accomplished.'

The following is a press release submitted by Berkeley College:

Approximately 1,900 students from Berkeley College locations in New Jersey and New York and Berkeley College Online received Bachelor’s and Associate’s degrees. It was the largest graduating class in the history of the College.

“All of you are embarking on an exciting new journey for which you are well prepared,” Dario A. Cortes, PhD, who is the college President, told the graduates. “Celebrate your graduation and be proud of what you have accomplished.”

Honors Scholars are graduates of a selective, interdisciplinary and seminar-based educational opportunity offered to a limited number of high-achieving students.

Berkeley College is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education and enrolls more than 7,700 students — including over 800 international students — in its Baccalaureate and Associate degree programs.

The College has four New Jersey locations — Woodland Park, Paramus, Woodbridge and Newark. In New York there are three locations — Midtown Manhattan, Brooklyn and White Plains. Berkeley College Online also offers full degree programs.
