Locals add to State Championship Successes for Extreme Gymnastics

GYMDAWGS Place TOP-10 Team at States…AGAIN!

Cedar Run’s Extreme Gymnastics continues to have successes with their gymnasts and teams at the Jersey Optional Gymnastics Association’s State Championships, placing a team in the TOP 10 now, 13 of the past 14 years as their youngest group, the Level 6s, (average age 8.5 years old), finished 9th in this year’s Level 5-6 competition.

Extreme’s Gymdawgs also flourished with individual State Championships as gymnasts Shae-Lyn Guido, Kaci Zoladz, Ryleigh Tietjen, and Kirsten Revaitis combined for 5, 1st Place Medals at the annual competition. Kaci won her Championship on Floor Exercise, Kirsten’s was won on Balance Beam, Shae was a 2-time winner on both Beam and in her All-Around, while Ryleigh was the Floor Champion; and she now becomes the youngest gymnast at age 7, to ever win a State Championship in Extreme Gymnastics’ 14 year history!

In addition to the aforementioned gymnasts, Kira Skiedzielewski, Keira Reilly, and Adriana Zitzner, all contributed to the Team effort as the local girls, (from Barnegat, Cedar Run, Little Egg, & Manahawkin), combined for 34 TOP 9 awards, 10 Personal Bests, and 6 “Stuck” Beams over this 2-day event.
