Man Dies After Being Ejected From Boat In Barnegat Bay Crash: Police

BARNEGAT BAY, NJ — One man died from injuries sustained in a Memorial Day boat crash in Barnegat Bay, New Jersey State Police said.

Two people were ejected when the boat crashed into a day marker, Trooper Christopher Postorino told Patch. Both were hospitalized in critical condition.

Barnegat resident Gunnar Pearson, 28, later died from his injuries, Postorino said.

In total, six people were injured.

The four other passengers were hospitalized with minor injuries, he said.

The crash remains under investigation.
