Man Hospitalized After Possible Gunshots, Screaming In Stafford: Cops
Stafford Park Apartment staff told police they heard possible gunshots, glass breaking and screaming from one of the apartments.
STAFFORD, NJ — A Stafford man was hospitalized Thursday after the sounds of glass breaking, screaming and possible gunshots were heard in his apartment, police said.
The 40-year-old man, who police described as "emotionally disturbed," was alone inside his apartment where Stafford Park Apartment staff reported the sounds coming from, police said.
Police said they spent two hours trying to contact the man before they gained entry into the apartment.

The man was taken into custody and transported to Southern Ocean Medical Center for treatment, police said.
The Ocean County Sheriff's Department, Barnegat Patrol Officers, and Stafford Township Emergency Medical Services also responded to the scene.

The investigation is still ongoing and no charges have been filed, police said.
