Manahawkin Man Charged With Sexually Assaulting Girl For Four Years
James Vitacco, 55, also charged with endangering the welfare of a child, authorities say.

A Manahawkin man is lodged in the Ocean County Jail in Toms River after police arrested him recently and charged him with the aggravated criminal sexual contact of a girl for four years.
Detective Drew Smith of the Stafford Township Police Department and Detective Stephanie Bayha of the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office arrested Jame Vitacco on Oct. 22. He was also charged with second-degree endangering the welfare of a child, Capt. Thomas J. Dellane said.
Investigation revealed that Vitacco had engaged in sexual conduct with the girl child starting when she was 13 until the age of 17 years while living in Manahawkin.

“Vitacco is alleged to have assaulted the child on numerous occasions,” Dellane said.
Vitacco is in the Ocean County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail which was set by Ocean County Superior Court Judge Rochelle Gizinski.
