Manahawkin Man Paralyzed In Accident; How To Help
Okan "Ozzie" Zenger owns two flooring businesses. He was critically injured after heavy equipment fell on him.

MANAHAWKIN, NJ — Okan “Ozzie” Zenger is known for helping those in need. Now Zenger and his family could use your help.
The Manahawkin man owns two flooring businesses: C&K Floor Covering, LLC and Zenger Flooring Supply, Inc. Heavy equipment fell on him Oct. 30 and broke his back. The accident paralyzed Zenger from the waist down.
After the accident, he was rushed to Jersey Shore Medical Center. He underwent extensive spine surgery, including installation of screws to hold his spine together. He was transferred to the Kessler Institute of Rehabilitation in West Orange.

Zenger expects to be there for the next two months. He's unable to conduct his businesses on a daily basis, so his household income will suffer.
Zenger has a wife and two children. His wife, Semra, took a leave of absense from work to become his primary caretaker when he returns from the rehab center.

A GoFundMe is helping the family with expenses. It has raised $7,200 of its $20,000 goal in two days.
"Anyone who knows Okan and this family knows that they are incredibly giving and supportive of people in need," the GoFundMe says. "He is a very endearing person with a heart of gold. He has been an active member of his community as well as a well-loved and respected volunteer soccer coach for many years."
