MANAHAWKIN, NJ — Recently, Patch reported that Brazzi in Manahawkin was chosen as one of New Jersey's best Italian restaurants. And whether you agreed with that or not, Patch readers sure had a lot to say about it.
Some agreed and said Brazzi was, in fact, the best in Manahawkin. However, more shared their thoughts about what should be the best.
One reader said that Brazzi used to be the best, but not so much anymore. He cited mediocre food quality and shrinking portion sizes. Instead, he recommended Manera's or Pietro's, both Manahawkin spots that he said never disappoint.

Another reader disagreed, saying that Brazzi was inconsistent with food quality. Her picks for great spots were not in Manahawkin, though they are neighboring.
She recommended Biagio's in Lanoka Harbor and East Bay Italian Grill in Barnegat. Both have dishes that are delicious and consistent, she said.
