Manahawkin Restaurant Serving Tim Kohlheim's Favorite Dish
Proceeds will support the back-to-school fundraiser, which honors the Manahawkin restaurateur.

MANAHAWKIN, NJ — One of Timothy Kohlheim's favorite dishes will temporarily help support a cause he championed. The Old Causeway Steak & Oyster House is serving the Shore Fire Grille's Jersey Shore burger through Thursday. Proceeds will support the Tim's Tribe Back to School Fundraiser.
Kohlheim was the founder of acclaimed restaurant Shore Fire Grille, which has locations in Manahawkin and Surf City. He died in a car accident earlier this month at age 36. The Old Causeway will be the site of a back-to-school fundraiser in Kohlheim's honor.
Through Thursday, you can get Kohlheim's SFG favorite at The Old Causeway. The Jersey Shore burger features an all-angus burger topped with pork roll, a fried egg, Velveeta cheese and chipotle ketchup on an English muffin, according to Shore Fire Grille's menu.

The Old Causeway will direct a portion of the proceeds to the back-to-school fundraiser, which takes place from 4-10 p.m. Thursday at The Old Causeway (1201 E Bay Ave., Manahawkin).
For the past few summers, Kohlheim gathered donations and gave generously to a Back-to-School shopping drive for less fortunate students in the community. Restaurants, organizations and the community have picked up where he left off.

The Old Causeway hosts the fundraiser with the Jetty Rock Foundation, Joe Mangino, Farias, Mike Rank, Equity Prime NJ and others who loved Kohlheim.
The event will feature a $20 buffet, special happy hour and Jetty Rock Foundation gift auction. Sam Layback, Chuck DeBruyn, Ty Mares and Jimmy Brogan will perform live music.
The Old Causeway will run two shuttles to assist with transportation. You can park at the Bay Avenue Community Center (775 E. Bay Ave.) from 4-10 p.m. or at Stafford Township town hall (260 E. Bay Ave.) from 5-10 p.m.
The first shuttle will drive in constant loops, so there is no need to contact them. The second will operate on as a normal text-A-ride, which you can contact at 609-713-0451.
