Meridian Health to Host Nurses' Night Out on Monday, June 9

Monmouth and Ocean county nurses invited to movie premiere.

 

Meridian Health will host Nurses Night Out on Monday, June 9 at 6:00 p.m. at the Algonquin Theatre in Manasquan, NJ. It will feature a local premiere of the documentary “The American Nurse, in which the film follows five registered nurses in various fields of care delivery, including: war, home care, labor and delivery, poverty and prison. Nurses from Monmouth and Ocean counties are invited to attend this free event.

A special introduction by the film director, Carolyn Jones, will take place prior to the start of the movie. After the viewing, a Q&A session with Ms. Jones will be held. As an added benefit, nurses will receive 1.5 contact hours for attending the event.

“We’re extremely pleased to present this free screening for Nurses Night Out,” says Dean Lin, president of Ocean Medical Center. “Just as the documentary promotes inspirational stories through the voice of nurses across the United States, the evening provides us an opportunity to recognize and show appreciation for the wellness, healing, comfort and support that all nurses provide right in our own communities.“
