Morning House Fire In Beach Haven West Under Investigation
Stafford firefighters battled a house fire shortly after 6 a.m. on Wednesday in Beach Haven West.
STAFFORD, NJ — An early morning structure fire is under investigation in Beach Haven West.
On Jan. 18 at 6:13 a.m. the Stafford Township Fire Company was dispatched to the Beach Haven West section of Manahawkin for a house fire.
Due to the nature of the incident, Stafford Township EMS, Barnegat Fire Company, a FAST Team from Forked River Fire Company and an Ocean County Fire Coordinator were also dispatched on the initial alarm, according to the department.

Upon arrival, the house was found to have a fire that had extended, the fire department said.
"Crews made a aggressive interior attack," Stafford firefighters said. "The fire was extinguished and placed under control."

All units remained on the scene for about two hours, the department said.
Stafford EMS stood by and provided rehab while members operated.
During the incident, Waretown Fire Company and Forked River firefighters stood by to provide fire protection and responded to a motor vehicle accident on Route 72.
This fire is under investigation by the Stafford Township Bureau of Fire Prevention and the Ocean County Fire Marshal, according to officials.
