TUCKERTON, NJ — Stacy and Keith Kaznowski had two children, but they felt like parents to everyone. The Tuckerton community suffered two major losses when they died Monday in separate accidents.

Stacy died at around noon Monday, and Keith perished about six hours later in a completely separate accident, according to Haley Giacobbe, who organized a GoFundMe for their family. They are awaiting autopsy results.

They've remedied the heartache of community members thousands of times, according to Giacobbe. Now their kids, Logan and Kylie, could use the community's help.

Giacobbe grew up with Logan and considered the Kaznowski household her home away from home. When Giacobbe became pregnant with her daughter at 16, Stacy and Keith went out and bought her everything she needed.

They also helped her daughter's father, Anthony — now Giacobbe's husband — find work, since they were well-known around town.

"Stacy and Keith were the 'neighborhood Mom and Dad,'" Giacobbe told Patch. "Their house was the house we all flocked to as kids because we knew we’d be safe and listened to by them."

Since their untimely deaths, Logan has taken increased responsibilities in a matter of hours and taken care of his little sister. Now Logan and Kylie could use the public's help with funeral expenses.

"Now it’s time to show her kids how much we all love and cherish them too," Giacobbe wrote on the fundraiser.
