New Hair Salon Opens In Barnegat

BARNEGAT, NJ — Emily Honeycutt dreamed of owning a salon since she was a little girl. Her dream came true Tuesday, as Hair by Honeycutt opened in Barnegat.

"This all just started to come out of nowhere, and I give God all the glory for it," Honeycutt said.

Honeycutt has 10 years of salon experience, including nearly five as a manager. Her business opened Tuesday at 830 West Bay Ave.

Hair by Honeycutt will operate during the following hours:

• 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday and Tuesday
• 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
• 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday

They will close for a bit at 1 p.m. Saturday to prepare for their 2 p.m. grand opening the same day. The grand opening, from 2-5 p.m., will feature hourly giveaways and grand prizes, plus a chance to meet the stylists, see the space and try some Paul Mitchell & Verb products.

The salon has six stylists. Honeycutt values them for their talent and how much they care about each customer.

"We care truly about each and every guest, and we treat them like family," Honeycutt said. "We’re always open to anyone that is available and ready to come on in."
