New Medical Facility Proposed For Manahawkin

STAFFORD, NJ — It seems that AtlantiCare is hoping to expand its offerings to Stafford residents, as the health care organization has applied to the planning board to construct a new facility.

The 40,000 square foot building would be located at 202 Doc Cramer Blvd., just down the road from AtlantiCare's existing Manahawkin Health Park, according to Stafford Township Planning Board documents.

An application hearing has not yet been set, as first reported by The Sandpaper.

According to the documents, the first floor of the facility would be general medical offices and exam rooms, while the second floor would be an outpatient surgical center focusing on same-day procedures.

Anticipated operating hours are 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday with about 91 employees working there, according to documents.

The largest health care organization in South Jersey, AtlantiCare has more than 100 locations in five counties, according to the AtlantiCare website.
