According to Niche, the public high schools with the best teachers are here in Manahawkin.
MANAHAWKIN, NJ — New Jersey is known for its great schools and education. But did you know that the best public high school teachers are teaching here in Manahawkin? Review website Niche, which ranks schools, neighborhoods and cities across America, has released its 2022 High Schools with the Best Teachers in New Jersey list. And their number one choice is Marine Academy of Technology and Environmental Science - better known as MATES.
Niche ranked the schools based on a number of statistics and reviews, including ratings of teachers, teacher salaries, teacher absenteeism, teacher tenure, student-teacher ratio and the Niche Academics Grade for the school.
MATES has an 11 to one teacher to student rating, according to Niche. Niche's polls of students and parents show that most agree that MATES teachers give engaging lessons and truly care about students.
