Ocean Acres Home Catches Fire: Officials

An occupant was evacuated during a structure fire Tuesday afternoon on Sextant Road in Ocean Acres, police said. There were no reported injuries, according to the Stafford Township Police Department.

The Stafford Township Bureau of Fire Prevention is investigating the cause of the fire, but it does not appear suspicious, the STPD said. The fire occurred at about 1 p.m. in the rear, exterior of the home and was quickly extinguished, according to police.

The area of Neptune Drive and Sextant Road was briefly closed but has since reopened, the STPD said. The Stafford Township Fire Company responded and received assistance from the Barnegat Township, Forked River and Parkertown Fire Companies.
