Ocean County Paper Shredding Program Returns To Barnegat

BARNEGAT-MANAHAWKIN, NJ — Looking to get rid of personal documents in a secure manner? Ocean County has announced the return of its Document Shredding Program. Stafford's will be on April 23 and Barnegat's will be on September 24.

The program is free and there is no need to register. Any Ocean County resident can go to any of the locations. The county asks that you only bring paper documents with your social security number or active accounts on them. If you're not sure what is acceptable to bring, you can take the quiz here.

Events will run the full time or until the truck is full. No commercial papers are accepted. Only paper will be accepted in a maximum of five file boxes or clear bags. Residents must stay in their vehicles at all times.

April 9: Seaside Park, Parking Lot, South Bayview Ave. and 14th Ave., 9 a.m.-noon

April 23: Stafford Township, Ocean County Southern Recycling Center, 379 Haywood Rd., 9 a.m.-noon

May 6: Lakewood Public Works Lot, 1 America Ave., 9 a.m.-noon

May 14: Little Egg Harbor Township Community Center Parking Lot, 319 W. Calabreeze Way, 9 a.m.-noon

May 20: Toms River Township, Riverwood Park Parking Lot, 250 Riverwood Dr., 9 a.m.-noon

June 4: Jackson Township Municipal Building Rear Parking Lot, 95 West Veterans Hwy., 9 a.m.-noon

June 18: Waretown Municipal Complex Lot, 50 Railroad Ave., 9 a.m.-noon

June 25: Point Pleasant High School Rear Parking Lot, 2300 Panther Path, 9 a.m.-noon

Sept. 10: Manchester Township, Soccer Field Lot, 101 South Colonial Dr., 9 a.m.-noon

Sept. 17: Lacey Township Recycling Center Parking Lot, 820 Municipal Ln., 9 a.m.-noon

Sept. 24: Barnegat Township Recycling Center Lot, 5 Lippencott Ave., 9 a.m.-noon

Oct. 1: Ship Bottom Municipal Boat Ramp, West 10th St. and Shore Ave., 9 a.m.-noon
