Once He Was Barnegat's Sole K-9 Unit. Now He's Retiring
K9 Bullet retired this week after many years of outstanding and faithful service to the BTPD and residents of Barnegat.

More than 8 years ago, the BTPD welcomed K9 Bullet, a Belgian Malinois who would serve alongside Patrolman Robert Armstrong as the department's sole K9 unit.
In a time when Barnegat was still recovering from an economic and real estate downturn, the continuation of the K9 program only became a reality when Armstrong offered to purchase the dog with thousands of dollars of his own money.
