Part Of Long Beach Blvd. Closed Due To Flooding

LONG BEACH ISLAND, NJ — Much of Long Beach Boulevard is closed because of flooding, officials announced Monday afternoon. The road is closed from 31stt to 92nd Street, Long Beach Township police said at around 4 p.m.

Authorities said to use Ocean Boulevard and Beach Avenue, and to use caution while driving.

The National Weather Service placed Long Beach Island under a coastal flood advisory from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday. Up to one foot of inundation could occur in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways.

Officials closed Long Beach Boulevard from 67th to 92nd Street at around 2 p.m.
