A group of six area women poets wil be reading their poems, which will include reflections of Barnegat Township
Poets of Barnegat, a group of six area female poets, will hold a public reading of poetry on Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012 at the Barnegat Branch of the Ocean County Library at 7 p.m.
One poem by Lynn Reebe will be set to guitar music. Other readers include Dianne Alvine, Kathy Santangelo, and Norma Paul, all of Barnegat, and Gemma Forest, of Manahawkin.
"We meet once a month, and this will be our first public meeting together," Paul told Patch. She said the poets, many of whom have been published in the magazine, Echoes of LBI, have been meeting for about two years.

"Each of us is trying to include a poem about Barnegat itself," Paul said. "Mine is about the view from my front window down the street."
Refreshments will be served. For more information, call 609-698-8366.
