Popular Chicken, Seafood Spot Closes In Manahawkin
The owners of Cluck'n Crabs cited rising food costs and a tough economy as reasons for the restaurant's permanent closure.

MANAHAWKIN, NJ — A beloved local restaurant has announced its permanent closure.
Cluck'n Crabs, a Manahawkin spot popular for chicken wings and clam chowder, posted on social media that as of Sept. 20, the restaurant would not open again.
"With rising food costs and an extremely tough economic marketplace we just can no longer continue to push through," the Costa family, the restaurant's owners, explained.

In the four years since Cluck'n Crabs opened, it's made its mark on the area. The Cluck'n Red Chowder was the Grand Champion winner of Chowderfest in 2020.
"We want to thank all of our wonderful customers and employees over the last 4 years and we will truly value all of the friends we have made along the way," the Costa family said.
