Pro Wrestling Tournament Set To Benefit Barnegat Schools

The Barnegat Elementary PTA is hosting "Barnegat Brawl 2024," fundraising for opportunities for students.

BARNEGAT, NJ — For one night only, you can watch professional wrestlers and your favorite Barnegat Township School District staff face off in the ring to raise money for student opportunities.

The Barnegat Elementary Parent Teacher Association (BEPTA) will welcome Independent Superstars of Pro Wrestling (ISPW) on Jan. 20 at 7:00 p.m. for “Barnegat Brawl 2024” at Barnegat High School.

This event will feature professional wresting stars as they take the mat alongside BTSD staff for “pro-level and amateur smackdowns and fierce feuds,” according to a district news release.

Tickets are sold online and currently range from $26 to $41 depending on the seat. Proceeds will go to future BEPTA opportunities like class field trips for students over the school year.

Enjoy solo and tag-team battles between ISPW legends such as Crowbar vs. “The Phoenix” GKM and The Silk City Kings vs. All Purpose, among the many showdowns taking place during the event. Rounding out the night, Barnegat’s own staff will face off in a tag-team exhibition match featuring: Brittany “The Shark” Schork and Francessca Chini vs. Lisa “Little Lightning” O’Halloran and Cynthia “The Snowstorm” Winters.

“Last year, we received such a positive response from our school community to this event, selling over 120 tickets. We’re hoping to exceed that number by double this year and are excited to see how much bigger and better this year will be, especially the matches between our talented Barnegat staff,” said BEPTA Vice President Colleen Angus.
