Roadway Improvements Planned For Stafford, Mayor Says
Mayor Greg Myhre said that he coordinated with Rep. Jeff Van Drew to secure $2 million to improve Routes 72 and 9.

STAFFORD, NJ — Stafford is kicking off 2023 by working on projects to improve the township.
At the Township Council's reorganization meeting, Mayor Greg Myhre said that "we are working hard to make it a great year."
He shared how in recent years, he's had success on many projects, including securing nearly $1 million to improve walking and biking to school and a nearly $5 million grant to build a new library building.

Now, Myhre said he worked with Rep. Jeff Van Drew to secure funding through the Federal Infrastructure Bill.
"I'm pleased to announce that he's secured $2 million in funding for Stafford Township proposed improvements for Route 72 and Route 9," Myhre said.

The project, called the Transportation and Safety Connector Project, has few details as of now, but expect more in the coming months, Myhre said.
"That is very good news for residents of Stafford Township and obviously anybody who passes through," he said.
"We live in the greatest community in the state of New Jersey," Myhre said. "And we really work hard every day to deliver the best value to our residents."
