Some Asbury Park Press Staffers Included In Latest Round of Gannett Cuts

Although Gannett Corp. hasn't officially announced it yet, newspaper staffers across the country were laid off today, including at least eight Asbury Park Press employees, according to Gannett Blog.

The independent blog is run by former longtime Gannett reporter Jim Hopkins, who predicted yesterday there would be a "stealth" round of layoffs today.
