Southern Ocean Library To Host Alice In Wonderland Tea Party For Kids

WARETOWN, NJ — Families in Waretown can mark their calendars for an Alice in Wonderland-themed tea party planned for 11 a.m. Saturday, July 25, at the Waretown Branch of the Ocean County Library.

The program is geared toward children ages 0 to 12 and will include a story with Alice, songs, games and light treats, according to the library announcement.

The event will be performed by Enchanting Entertainment, which the announcement describes as two sisters and best friends who bring character entertainment to events in New Jersey and the Philadelphia area. The group has performed numerous programs for the Ocean County Library, according to the announcement.

Tea party attire or costumes are encouraged for children attending the program. The event is sponsored by the Friends of the Waretown Library, a volunteer group that supports the library by helping with branch activities, sponsoring fundraisers and attending community and civic events as advocates for the library, according to the announcement.

The program is part of the branch’s lineup of family offerings and is intended for youth attendees only, with accompanying adults not included in registration. The library said registration is required and asked families to register only the children who will attend.
