Southern Regional Class of 2019 Graduates
Over 500 students graduated at the school's 62nd commencement.

MANAHAWKIN, NJ — Southern Regional High School held its 62nd commencement Friday. Over 500 students graduated.
Southern Regional's top 10 graduates and their colleges are:
- Abigail Patchell (Villanova University)
- Jack Hagen (Stevens Institute of Technology)
- Matthew Pierro (The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill)
- Larry Giberson, Jr. (Princeton University)
- Hayley Houck (Central Connecticut State University)
- Kady Patterson (Pace University)
- Daniel Sullivan (Stockton University)
- Sarah Gildea (The College of New Jersey)
- Michael Pukala, Jr. (Temple University)
- Danielle Spalding (Rider University)
"We do not need magic to change the world, we carry all the power we need inside ourselves already: we have the power to imagine better," Patchell said in her speech. Patchell will study neuroscience at Villanova University.

"Thank you to every one of my peers for making this the greatest four years of our lives thus far," said class president Gregory English, who will study business at Boston University.
Class vice president Ceyla Drexler, who will study finance at Clemson University.

“As we venture off in the world, we understand that there is nothing that will quite compare to our high school experience," Drexler said.
