Southern Regional To Hold Financial Aid Seminar

MANAHAWKIN, NJ — The Southern Regional Guidance Department will hold a financial aid seminar at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 3 in the auditorium. The goal is to familiarize senior students and their families with various financial aid opportunities as they prepare for post-secondary education.

The event's primary objective is to review the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Two Southern Regional Athletes were named #BSNSports Athletes of the Week. The dual-week award ranges from Sept. 1-15.

Male Athlete, 11th Grade: Jackson Braddock, boys cross country

Jackson won the Cherokee Challenge (Sept. 7) and The Battle at Ocean County Park (Sept. 13). He has one of the fastest 5K times in New Jersey.

Female Athlete, 9th Grade: Gianna Simon, girls soccer

Simon helped the Rams to a 4-0 record to begin the season. She currently has 10 girls with a season-high four against Manchester.

The JV girls volleyball team also won the 2019 Williamtown Invitational.
