Southern Regional Student Recognized As Mayor's Scholar

STAFFORD, NJ — A Southern Regional High School student was honored at a recent Stafford Township Council meeting for winning a scholarship from the Ocean County Mayor's Association.

Mary Kate Reilly, a recent graduate, "worked very hard throughout her academic career," Mayor Greg Myhre said. He made a proclamation recognizing Reilly as a "Mayor's Scholar."

Reilly will go on to Boston College, Myhre said. She will be studying mathematics, according to a graduation press release by Southern Regional.

Reilly, a West Creek resident, ranked fifth in her graduating class, the school said.

"I'm excited to represent you guys at Boston College," Reilly said.
