Stafford Mayor Seeks 9th District Assembly Seat
Mayor Greg Myhre is running on a ticket with incumbent Assemblyman Brian Rumpf and Berkeley Mayor Carmen Amato.

STAFFORD, NJ — March 27 was the filing deadline for New Jersey's June 6 primary election, and the lineup for the 9th Legislative District is uncontested for both Republicans and Democrats.
Mayor Greg Myhre is running for an Assembly seat on a ticket with incumbent Assemblyman Brian Rumpf. They're joined by Berkeley Mayor Carmen Amato, who seeks the State Senate seat that will be left empty by the retirement of Sen. Christopher Connors.
All three are running on the official party line.

Myhre has served as Stafford's mayor since 2019. Assemblywoman DiAnne Gove, who lost the party line nomination to Myhre, will not be seeking reelection.
Little Egg Harbor Democrat Gabriel Franco is also running for the State Senate seat on the party line.
