Barnegat, A New Starbucks Could Be Coming To You
If the zoning board approves, a Starbucks complete with drive-thru could be coming to Barnegat.
BARNEGAT, NJ — A new Starbucks complete with a drive-thru could be coming to Barnegat — if the township allows it. According to the Asbury Park Press, the same developer that built a shopping center on West Bay at Sandpiper Drive has filed a proposal to construct a Starbucks café at the center.
WP Barnegat LLC has proposed a 2,225-square-foot Starbucks that would not only have a drive-thru lane, it would also include a canopy-covered patio for outdoor seating.
However, Barnegat’s Zoning Board of Adjustment will need to review and approve the proposal before anything happens. Fast-food restaurants with drive-thru lanes are not permitted in the area.

There is a pending application before the zoning board, but the public hearing for the application is yet to be scheduled, according to Stacey Cole, administrator of the Barnegat Planning and Zoning Board.
Starbucks would join the other new businesses in the center, including AutoZone, Dollar General and Mattress Warehouse.
