State Aid: See How Much Barnegat-Manahawkin Schools Will Get

Here's how much state aid Barnegat, Stafford and Southern Regional schools are set to receive.

BARNEGAT-MANAHAWKIN, NJ — Gov. Mikie Sherrill's proposed budget for 2026-27 includes $12.4 billion for aid to the state's 574 public school districts. Barnegat, Stafford and Southern Regional schools are all set for an aid increase.

On Thursday the state Department of Education released the aid figures for each district. Similar to 2025-26, most aid increases were capped at 6 percent, and the majority of aid cuts were capped at 3 percent.

Barnegat schools will see an increase of 6 percent, or $1,509,194, for a total of $25,153,236 in state aid.

Percentage-wise, Stafford schools will see one of the larger increases, with state aid increasing by 6.41 percent. That comes out to an increase of $330,474 for a total of $5,483,451.

And Southern Regional will also get a 6 percent increase. That's an increase of $269,312 for a total of $4,757,829 in state aid.
