Support Stafford Schools Through Applebee's Fundraiser

Manahawkin Applebee's will be hosting a back-to-school supply drive and flapjack fundraiser to help Stafford kids in need.

MANAHAWKIN, NJ — In August, visit the Applebee's in Manahawkin to help support kids in need throughout the Stafford School District.

From Aug. 15 through 21, the Doherty-owned Applebee's is hosting a back-to-school supply drive; accepting donations of backpacks, notebooks, pencils and more. Those interested in donating can bring supplies to the restaurant, located at 205 Route 72 West. On the last two days of the drive, a school bus will be parked outside of the restaurant that people can "stuff" with donations.

Also on Aug. 20, Applebee's in Manahawkin will host a "Flapjack Fundraiser" from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Breakfast plates cost $10 and 100 percent of the proceeds will be donated to the Stafford School District.

Then, from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., the restaurants "Dining to Donate" initiative will donate 10 percent of all sales from the day, excluding alcohol and gift cards.

Applebee's in Manahawkin will donate all of these to the Stafford School District to help children in need.
