Surf City Library To Host Program On De-Cluttering, Downsizing

SURF CITY, NJ — People thinking about moving or downsizing can get advice later this month at the Long Beach Island Branch of the Ocean County Library in Surf City.

The branch will host “De-cluttering and Depersonalizing: Living with Less Can Be Good” at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 25, according to the program announcement. The event will focus on steps often recommended to people preparing a home for sale or trying to simplify their living space.

According to the announcement, “usually the first thing a realtor will suggest is that you ‘de-clutter’ and ‘depersonalize’ your home” if you are contemplating a move or downsizing. The library said Mike Ivankovich will lead the program and provide more than 100 tips on de-cluttering and depersonalizing to help participants lighten their load.

The program is described as light and fun in the announcement. It is being sponsored by the Friends of the Island Library, according to the library.

The event is free, but registration is required. People can register by visiting tinyurl.com/DeclutterLBI, calling 609-494-2480, or stopping by the branch at 217 South Central Ave. in Surf City.
