MANAHAWKIN, NJ — A woman accidentally crashed her car into a Manahawkin home Wednesday afternoon, police said. No residents were hurt, and the driver was taken the Southern Ocean Medical Center for precautionary reasons.

The crash occurred at about 3:30 p.m. on Fort Lee Drive in the Perry's Lake section of town, police said. Julia Elmowsky, 86, of Suffern, New York, put her Ford Escape in reverse on Oak Ridge Lane.

She thought she put her foot on the brake but actually pressed the accelerator, police said. The home was occupied, but the occupants weren't hurt.
