Teen Brought Loaded Gun, Knife To Stafford Family Park: Police
The 15-year-old displayed a handgun at Ocean Acres Park on Wednesday evening, Stafford police said.
STAFFORD, NJ — A teenager was arrested and charged after bringing a loaded gun and a folding knife to Ocean Acres Park in Manahawkin, police said.
The 15-year-old boy, unidentified by police, was charged with second and fourth degree unlawful possession of a weapon, Stafford police said. He was lodged in the Ocean County Juvenile Detention Center.
Police said they were alerted of a male in all black clothing and white shoes displaying a handgun at Ocean Acres Park on Wednesday evening at about 7:14 p.m. When officers arrived, they found the teenager had a loaded black Beretta 9mm handgun, plus a folding knife, police said.
