Teen Injured In Tuckerton Hit-And-Run, Police Seeking Driver

The teenager was struck following a road rage incident, according to a report. The driver fled the scene.

TUCKERTON, NJ — Tuckerton police are searching for a driver that struck a teenager on Route 9 Monday evening following a road rage incident, according to a report by NJ.com.

The Tuckerton Borough Police Department announced on their Facebook page they were searching for the vehicle, believed to be a 2015-2018 black Chevrolet Silverado. Police said that the incident happened at about 6:17 p.m. Monday evening in the area of Route 9 and Water Street. Police said that the driver fled the scene. The driver was last scene heading south on Route 9, police said.

According to NJ.com, the teenager left his car to speak with the other driver, who hit him and drove away. The teenager was taken to the hospital, where the extent of his injuries are unknown, the report said.
