Today's Valentine's Day – a day for celebrating love.
Some roll their eyes at it, but I, for one, am always happy to hear a good love story. As a kid, I liked the Ann Landers "how we met" columns almost as much as the funny pages.
And what better day to ask readers to share their stories than today?

The beautiful couple in this photo met in 1946. He was just recently back from serving as an Army doctor during World War II. She was only 20, not long out of Catholic boarding school in Georgetown. He was her roommate's brother, the handsome man six years her senior she'd met only fleetingly until war's end. They married a year later and raised five children, who gave them seven grandchildren. They lived and loved and learned and grew together for more than 60 years before he passed away.

It's a pretty simple story, but I love it, in part because I wouldn't be here if it hadn't happened. I'm one of their seven grandkids.
