These Are Barnegat-Manahawkin's Most Romantic Restaurants, Readers Say

BARNEGAT-MANAHAWKIN, NJ — It's that time of year, and love is in the air. And what better way to celebrate Valentine's Day than enjoying it at a local restaurant?

Patch reached out to readers on Facebook to find what the most romantic restaurant in the areais.

With tons of great restaurants on LBI, naturally plenty of readers suggested some of those. A popular choice was the Gables in Beach Haven.

Many also recommended Ott's Good Earth Garden in West Creek, noting it as a quiet, intimate spot.

Several commented that they often go to Barnegat's own East Bay Italian Grille for date night. It has excellent food and friendly staff, according to Debbie Buzinky Velez.

But it's not always about glitz and glamour when it comes to romance. Something more laid back, and a frequent suggestion, is Sweet Jenny's.

Barbara Comiskey said that the window seat is best, as it allows no distraction from others there. "I have gone to many venues in NJ as a past wedding photographer and I find this little gem perfect," she said.

The Old Causeway and Manera's also got a few comments each.
