Three New Fields Coming To Nautilus Park In Stafford

The township says the new fields will be in use for fall 2022 sports.

STAFFORD, NJ — Nautilus Park in Stafford will be getting three new fields, Mayor Greg Myhre announced Thursday.

With more kids playing sports with pandemic restrictions winding down, Stafford found the need for more sports fields. However, exactly what sports will use them is not known yet. Right now, the three new fields are classified as general purpose fields, Myhre told Patch. The fields will be rotated and rehabilitated as needed.

Construction will start next week, March 28. It will take a while, Myhre said. So while the new fields won't be ready this spring, they will be ready for fall sports, Myhre said.

Myhre said the new fields are part of a redevelopment agreement with the Walters Group.
