Tuckerton Woman Charged With Careless Driving After Smashing Into Dump Truck
Accident happened near milepost 68.6 on Route 9 South in Stafford Township.

A Tuckerton woman suffered facial injuries after her 2004 Hyundai Sonata struck a dump truck on Route 9 South recently, Patrolman Christopher Fritz said.
Stafford Township police charged Jennifer L. Wojcik, 40, East Main Street, Tuckerton, with careless driving after the 3:33 p.m. accident on Oct. 20, he said.
Preliminary investigation revealed both Wojcik‘s vehicle and the dump truck were both traveling southbound. The driver of the dump truck, Edgar L. Rodriguez, had slowed in traffic to allow another vehicle to exit out of the Sahara Sands sand plan so he could safely proceed when the accident occurred, Fritz said.

Wojcik, sustained a facial laceration to her face and was taken to Southern Ocean Medical Center. Her car had a significant amount of damage and had to be towed from the scene.
Traffic was temporarily re-directed on Route 9. The roadway was reopened to north and southbound traffice at 4 p.m.
