Two-Day Book Sale Comes To Long Beach Island Library
Want to offload old books, or interested in picking up some gently used ones? Head to the Ocean County Library Long Beach Island Branch.
SURF CITY, NJ — Don't throw away your old books, DVDs or CDs. Someone may want them, and they can pick them up at the Friends of the Island Library's Two-Day Book Sale on March 24 and 25.
If you're looking to offload, hardcover and softbound books, music CDs, audiobooks, and DVDs in good condition can be brought to the LBI Branch meeting room on March 23 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The sale will be held the following two days from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Proceeds from the sale serve many purposes, according to the Friends: helping the Friends to support Library programs and crafts, sponsor the Kay Jones and Eleanor Smith Memorial Scholarships, and enhance Library furnishings and facilities.
New Friends are always welcome. Prospective members will find brochures and registration forms on hand during donation days, book sale days, and sponsored programs, and also at the LBI Branch circulation desk. Annual fees are $5 for individual memberships, $10 for families and $50 for businesses.
