Wally Mitchell's To Reopen In Mid-November Under New Ownership

Popular longtime Surf City landmark was sold in October

Wally Mitchell’s will stay Wally Mitchell’s.

The new owners of the longtime landmark restaurant in Surf City decided to keep the popular breakfast and lunch eatery under its original name, according to The Sandpaper.

Connie Shinn Lohr and Cliff Shinn sold the restaurant their parents owned for decades on Oct. 24 to Mike Tomko, a former general manager of the Cheesecake Factor in Edison. Plans are to reopen by mid-November the Surf City resident said.
