Officials quickly extinguished the fire without incident.

WARETOWN, N.J. — A structure fire broke out Sunday afternoon in Waretown and was quickly extinguished without incident, according to the Waretown Volunteer Fire Department. There were no reported injuries, officials said.
The fire on Clearwater Drive spread into the attic, the WVFC said. The Forked River Fire Department's Rapid Intervention Team, which stands by if firefighter rescue is needed, stood by at the ready while WVFD firefighters extinguished this blaze, officials said.
The Ocean County Fire Marshals Office and Ocean Township Police Department are investigating the fire, as is standard in all fires with property loss, officials said. The WVFC thanked the Forked River Fire Department, Ocean Township police and Waretown First Aid for their assistance.
