Waretown Wine Festival Returns In April
The festival features some of New Jersey's top wineries. Here's a list of participants.
The Waretown Wine Festival, which features some of New Jersey's top wineries, is returning for its fifth year. The wine-tasting festival takes place from noon to 5 p.m. April 27 and 28 at the Waretown Recreation and Lake Area (182 Wells Mill Rd.).
Participating wineries include the following:
- Cream Ridge Winery
- DiMatteo Vineyards
- Plagido’s Winery
- Villari Vineyards
- Wagonhouse Winery
- White House Winery
- Cedar Rose Winery
- Valenzano Winery
The festival also features live music from acoustic rock artist Astronaut Jones and Crabdaddy Band. The event features artisan crafters and vendors, such as Scentsy, Swarovski Crystals, AT&T, New Jersey Lottery, and Judy’s Ink Creations; and food vendors, such as Matty G Dogz’s, Mister Softee, Jersey Roll and Latin Bites.

Proceeds from the festival will benefit Sylvia's Children, a nonprofit improving conditions for more than 1,000 children in Uganda since 2003.
The cost to attend is $20 in advance and $30 at the door for those 21 or older. A two-day ticket will be available for $30. Designated drivers and non-drinkers can enter for $5.

Tickets are available on Eventbrite and Groupon. Also, no dogs, hovercrafts and hoverboards, drones, bicycles or skateboards are allowed during festival days.
