Warrant Issued For Theft Of Iconic Jersey Devil Statue In Stafford

Police are seeking the location of Ohio resident Thomas L. Bintz, 52, charged in connection with the theft of the statue at Lucille's.

WARREN GROVE, NJ — Stafford police have issued an arrest warrant in connection with the theft of the Jersey Devil statue outside of Lucille's Luncheonette.

Now, police say a warrant issued for the arrest of Thomas L. Bintz, 52 years old of Chandlersville, Ohio, for fourth-degree criminal mischief and third-degree theft.

Security footage from the night of theft appeared to show an SUV pulling a flatbed with a Jeep on it, loading the statue onto the flatbed.

Bintz has not been apprehended as of Tuesday morning, and police are seeking information regarding his location.
