Sean Brown was headed to work when a woman, who was also killed, crossed into his lane and hit his car, police said.

BARNEGAT, NJ — A corrections officer from Barnegat and a Delaware woman were killed in a crash Saturday morning in Burlington County, state police said. Brown, an officer for the Garden State Youth Correctional Facility, was headed to work.
The Delaware woman, driving in the opposite direction on Route 72, crossed into Brown's lane and hit his car at about 5:18 a.m., police said. Brown, 34, and the driver — Priscilla Broadard, 71, of Bear, Delaware — were pronounced dead at the scene in Woodland Township, according to police.
No one else was in either vehicle, police said. Route 72 was closed for about four hours, according to authorities.
