What's Closed on Presidents Day?

As today is Presidents Day – a federal and state holiday – we're taking a quick look at what's open and what's closed nearby and around New Jersey.

• State and county offices are closed.

• Barnegat Town Hall is closed, along with the courts and other local municipal offices. The regular Township Committee meeting is rescheduled for Tuesday.

• Trash and recycling pickup will happen as usual.

• Barnegat schools are closed.

• All branches of the Ocean County Library are closed.

• Post offices are closed, and there will be no regular mail delivery.

• Financial and stock markets are closed.

• NJ Transit buses vary by route. Check out the bus schedule page for details. Trans are running on a weekend/major holiday schedule.

• Most banks are open, but financial transactions often don't go through until the following day.
