Who's Running For School Board In Barnegat, Manahawkin

BARNEGAT, NJ — The filing deadline to run for school board was Monday. Ocean County listed the candidates who filed petitions.

The Barnegat, Stafford and Southern Regional school districts each have elections Nov. 5. Each candidate was allowed to submit a three-word slogan to appear on the ballot.

Ocean County's list of candidates is unofficial and was updated Monday after the filing deadline.

Here are the candidates who filed petitions, according to the County:

Barnegat (three-year terms, vote for three)

• Scott Sarno, "KEEPING BARNEGAT GREAT!"
• Pete Toth, "KEEPING BARNEGAT GREAT!"
• Wayne Eslinger, "KEEPING BARNEGAT GREAT!"
• George Fedorczyk, Jr., "PROGRESS FOR EDUCATION"
• Richard Quelch, "A NEW VOICE"
• Robert Sawicki, "A NEW VOICE"
• Sean O'Brien, "A NEW VOICE"
• D.D. Verdolino, "MAKE EDUCATION GREAT!"

Stafford (three-year terms, vote for three)

• Joseph Mangino, "STUDENTS FIRST"
• Walter L. Jauch, "EVERY VOICE MATTERS"
• Mark Zoladz, "EVERY VOICE MATTERS"

Southern Regional (three-year terms, vote for one)

• Kevin M. Lyons
