1,500 Without Power In Somerset County Tuesday

Breaking: Residents in Bernardsville, Basking Ridge, Bridgewater, Hillsborough, Bedminster, Warren, Watchung are among those without power.

SOMERSET COUNTY, NJ — More than 1,500 resident across Somerset County are without power Tuesday night after a severe thunderstorm swept through the area bringing down trees and power lines.

PSE&G reports 970 customers without power and JCP&L reports 551 customers without power as of 6 p.m. In New Jersey, JCP&L is reporting 65,984 without power and 41,043 PSE&G customers state-wide.

North Plainfield reports the largest amount without power with 734 followed by Bernardsville with 225.

Warrenville Road north of Route 22 and Rock Road west in the area of Washington Avenue have both been reopened following a closure due to downed trees.
