$10,000 Winning Lottery Ticket Sold In Basking Ridge

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — A Basking Ridge gas station was among the three places where tickets were sold winning the third-tier $10,000 prize.

The three third-tier prizewinning tickets sold for the Friday, Oct. 5 drawing matched four of the five white balls and the Gold Mega Ball drawn winning the $10,000 prize.

The tickets were sold at:

• Basking Ridge Exxon, 305 King George Rd., Basking Ridge
• Krauszer’s Food Store, 978 St. Georges Ave., Rahway
• Shoprite #637, 1801 Route 35, Belmar

If those tickets had been purchased with the Megaplier option, the prizes would be multiplied to $20,000.

The winning numbers for the Friday, Oct. 5 drawing were: 27, 28, 32, 41 and 69. The Gold Mega Ball was 12, and the Megaplier Multiplier was 2.

In addition, 46 other players matched four of the five white balls drawn making each ticket worth $500. Four of those tickets were purchased with the Megaplier option, multiplying the prize to $1,000. Moreover, 82,975 other New Jersey players took home $302,850 in prizes ranging from $2 to $400, according to James Carey, New Jersey Lottery acting executive director.

“For selling the winning tickets, the retailers have become many more Lottery ‘lucky locations’ overnight," said Carey.

The next drawing will be held Tuesday, Oct. 9 at 11 p.m. All New Jersey Lottery Mega Millions tickets must be purchased before 10:45 p.m. to participate in the drawing.
